Step 1: The Copper Kettle Melt

Unlike modern industrial candy makers who use high-pressure steam pipes, we return to the copper kettle. Copper provides superior heat conductivity, allowing us to control the temperature of our organic cane sugar solution to within a fraction of a degree. This precision is vital for achieving the "Hard Crack" stage without scorching the delicate aromatic molecules of our infusions.

Step 2: Infusion & Aeration

While the sugar is still molten, we introduce our botanical extracts—steam-distilled lavender, pressed citrus oils, and hand-ground spices. For our taffy collections, this is where the magic of the "Pull" happens. We use vintage iron bitts to stretch and fold the sugar, trapping millions of tiny air bubbles. This turns a dense, brittle mass into a silken, opaque cloud that practically evaporates on the tongue.

Step 3: The Hand-Cut Finish

Every piece of Glaze & Glimmer candy is individually inspected. We use solid brass rolling shears to cut our hard candies while they are still warm to the touch. This creates soft, rounded edges that feel comfortable in the mouth—a small detail that machine-stamped candies simply cannot replicate. Each piece is then polished with a light coating of carnauba wax from palms, ensuring it remains crystal clear until the moment you enjoy it.
